Dear Fourth Grade Families,
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I can't believe there are only 16 days until Christmas!
In the next week, students will continue to practice for the Christmas Play which is next Tuesday, December 16. There is a 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. performance. Students need to be at school on time in the morning and in the classroom by 6:30 p.m. in the evening wearing his or her Christmas "best dress" for the morning as well as the evening performances. Thank you parents for sending in costumes "townspeople" for your child. Yesterday, was the first time the students practiced dancing while wearing their costumes. Please ask your child if he or she needs safety pins for head pieces or robes, a longer or shorter dress/robe, a belt etc. If your child will not be able to make a performance, I need to know ASAP. Thank you for your support and efforts in this matter.
On another note, we will be having a Christmas Party on Friday, December 19 from 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Your child will be selecting a name of another child in the class. Please buy or re-gift a festive Christmas mug for that child. Bring in the mug wrapped with the child's name on it, on or before the party. We will be exchanging mugs and the kids will enjoy a cup of hot cocoa at the party! If you know that your child will not be in school on Friday, please let me know. If you would like to help with the party, please contact Connie Renda.
Your children are working very hard on writing their essays for the contest. I am proud of them! The final drafts need to be typed. If this is a problem, please let me know ASAP so I can help out. The final drafts are due on Monday, December 15. **Permission Slips for the contest are due this Friday!**
Please help your child stay on task as these next two weeks are going to fly by and there is much to be accomplished. Progress Reports will be sent home on Tuesday, December 16, 2014.
Have a productive week!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Ramirez
